Product Care
Materials.
Here are The Wild Wanderer Co it was important for us to source materials not only of a high quality, but also that held up well against the elements. This led to us sourcing PPM rope, which is known for its water, dirt and mould resistant properties. Next we wanted to source a second option and this is where leather came into the equation. We did think about biothane, however we love the way leather wears and ages over time to create a classic look. The leather we have sourced will wear beautifully to create that rustic worn look yet still look timeless every time your dog wears it.
While we have full faith that our products will withstand your adventure however we do have some advice regarding care to ensure your products last as long as possible.
Product Care.
If your products become dirty, we recommend washing them with hot soapy water and lying them flat to dry. Always wash your hardware after adventures in sea water, this may lead to discolouration if not rinsed.
If your leather becomes dirty we would recommend using a soft cloth to clean this, you may also wish use saddle soap on this to help clean off any dirt.
Wear and tear.
Please ensure you are a responsible owner and check our collar regularly for wear and tear, this is natural and may occur. While our rope is strong we would not recommend this style of collar for strong pullers. The clip collars should only be used as an ID collar only and the wild wanderer co cannot be held responsible for injury which may occur to you or your dog or damage to the collar if you use it for anything other than the intended purpose.
It is natural for leather to become worn over time, it is a rustic leather which is used on our collars, meaning it is full of character. the leather has a natural matt surface with a pull up which means that when it is bent, it gives a more casual weathered appearance.
